The LIPS DC Vehicle Charger charges a range of LIPS batteries simultaneously from a DC output socket on a vehicle. It can be mounted into vehicles using a dedicated mounting bracket.
LIPS batteries simply click into place and charging is initiated through a toggle switch. The charger provides flexibility when no AC source is available, allowing charging in a moving or stationary vehicle.
The LIPS DC Vehicle Charger is designed for the in-vehicle recharge of Lincad’s LIPS 10, 11 and 12 batteries. The charger is powered from a standard 24V DC vehicle supply and is mounted to a vehicle interior wall using standardised military mounting plates. The charger is rugged and versatile enough to satisfy front line military operating requirements.
Battery recharge is carried out through three independent integrated charging sockets which are configured to securely mount the LIPS batteries.
Charging is initiated through a toggle switch and then automatically controlled by the charger hardware and software. The LIPS DC Vehicle Charger carries out active thermal management of the convection cooled heatsink. In very hot conditions, intelligent control will manage the rate of charge of a connected battery to maintain operator and equipment safety.
Battery charge status is provided for each channel by a three LED indication display.
