The Storm battery is a 12V, 9Ah lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery using the distinctive twist-lock interface to attach to host equipment. It is available in several variants, with or without battery communications and press-to-test capacity displays.
Used across several applications, it is widely used for Thales’ Storm-H ultra-compact, lightweight personal electronic countermeasure (ECM) system.
The 12V Battery is a compact, lightweight rechargeable Li-Ion battery designed for hand held equipment applications. Incorporating a military standard twist lock mechanism for host interface, the 12V battery fixes securely to man portable host equipment for use in tactical environments.
The battery may be configured with SMBus battery communications offering a limited set of battery parameters to the host if required. The battery can be further configured with a 3 LED (red, amber, green) state of charge gauge with an integral press to test to provide a visual indication of current charge status.
With an energy return of up to 175Wh/kg and a cycle life of greater than 300 cycles, the 12V battery is a highly energy efficient solution to low voltage portable power requirements.
